Enable RDP Manager on Your Windows Server 2012 or 2016

When ordering a Windows Server 2012 or 2016 Virtual Private Server (VPS), you may need to access it remotely for various reasons, such as moving files from and to the server. By default, the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) feature is disabled on new installations due to security reasons. However, you can easily enable it via the Server Manager.

To begin with, open the Server Manager on your Windows Server 2012 or 2016 VPS. On the left side of the window, select Local Server and click on it to activate the 'noVNC' connection. This will open the OS console, where you can see the top of the console on that page.

Next, go to your TransIP control panel and navigate to BladeVPS. From there, follow these steps to enable RDP Manager:

1. Open Server Manager on your Windows Server 2012 or 2016 VPS.

2. Select Local Server from the left side of the window.

3. Click on Remote Desktop (RDP) on the right side of the window and toggle its status from Disabled to Enabled.

Alternatively, you can also use the RDP connection to access your server without logging into the TransIP control panel first. However, keep in mind that the resolution of the console is limited, which may affect your experience.

By enabling RDP Manager on your Windows Server 2012 or 2016 VPS, you will be able to access it remotely and perform various tasks, such as moving files from and to the server. This feature is especially useful for administrators who need to manage multiple servers from a remote location.
